The design team at Tween Brands recently went to Tokyo for a buying trip. During their trip they purchased clothing items that showed the major trends in the area. Below is the report of what they saw.

Trends: global traveler influences (bright colors, bold graphic prints), tropicana (island tropical feel, neon pops), blues (shades of blues from light to cobalt with paisley prints), black and white (60s mod), boho (crochet and lace with floral prints)

Silhouettes: crop tops, oversized tees, sweatshirts, peplums, woven blouses, denim shirts, trucker jackets, overalls, patternede leggings, short shorts, skater skirts

Details: cut outs on shoulders, high waisted bottoms, fringe

Print and Pattern: florals, animal prints, tye-die, mirrored printing, verticle stripes, dots, beadwork, embroidery, lazer cutouts, paisley

Accessories: statement necklaces, printed scarves, plastic neons, flower headbands, fringed necklaces

Their clothing items included stud details, maxi skirts, crop tops, plastic accessories, beading details, details on sleeves and embroidery on shorts
