Target Market

For my project I have decided to narrow in on the styles of junior girls ages 16 to 19. This specific market allows me to pull inspiration from women older than the target audience and then channel my 3 fashion sketches towards my specific age group.

In New York and California I plan to observe overall fashion trends such as the ones I researched yesterday (60s, boho, grunge, etc.). However, for my specific market I think the 90s theme is most relatable and will draw the most attention.

Today (May 7th) I plan to research inspiration from the 90s and how it translates to high school aged girls today.

Two aspects of the 90s theme include grunge and the valley girl (think: Clueless). I will be looking at both areas and how they relate to one another.
