Today I met with the trend team from the company Charlotte Russe. Each week the trend team produces concepts of what they think the next fashion style will be. Some recent trends include Nolita (a New York City vibe with grunge accents) and TropiCali (tropical vibe with a focus of fruits and leaves).
With the help of their trend team I decided that my three main trends for my project are tropical (fruit prints, mixed tribals and bright colors), grunge (animal prints, beanies, plaids) and valley girl/Cluless (crop tops, neon, sheer fabric and matching tops and bottoms).
During my stay at Charlotte Russe I pulled pictures for my project, talked with the team and worked on making color palettes for their next concept meeting.
